Hecht & Bannier

SOUTHERN FRANCE

Craft hand-made negoce, boutique wines. Tasters may sometimes be overwhelmed by the wines but these cuvées claim their style and signature. “ Fascinating, ambitious, accomplished new negociant” wrote Jancis Robinson in 2005 with other famous wine writers who early enable a tremendous success of the company in USA, Canada and Japan.

FLORAL AND COMPLEX

Les Cru de Provence

We focused our selections on the cooler parts of the upper Provence vineyards where the oak and olive tree forests protect the vines planted in the clay-limestone soils and, in some ways, seem to nourish them.

MEDITERRANEAN WINE

Les Crus du Languedoc

It is for us the typical expression of the Mediterranean wine dominated by Syrah with its spicy and liquorice character. They are mostly sourced from the area of La Livinière and from the cooler part of Caunes. The blend is usually completed with some fruity Grenache from Pepieux and some lively Carignan from the western part of the AOC, in order to balance the hottest Syrah.

THE SUNIEST VINEYARD IN FRANCE

Les Crus du Roussillon

We usually base our Catalan blend on the famous Grenache from Maury which natural hotheadedness is balanced by cooler Syrah and Carignan from Belesta and Caramany. The best Mourvèdre from Tautavel usually come to complete the blend with more relief.

SUPERFICIAL HUMAN INTERVENTION

Les Languedoc

In order to express the region’ vast variety of terroirs, we have developed a fruit driven wine, matured exclusively in concrete tank, without any use of barrels. Made according to the principles of Organic Farming, we wanted to express through this wine our commitment and our partner growers’ one around this charter. Our Languedoc is blended by the most brilliant fruits of Syrah, from the area of Saint Chinian and the Terrasses du Larzac, with the tasty Grenache from Roussillon.
