Bogle - Chenin Blanc 2013
Bogle Vineyards is proud to offer a large selection of value brand wines, from light, refreshing whites to rich, luscious reds. Clarksburg has long been known as a remarkable place to grow Chenin Blanc. One of the lesser known of France's "International Varieties", Chenin Blanc has never made much of an impact outside of its home region of the Loire Valley. South Africa is the only country to really take to the variety but it is now struggling for top billing there with Sauvignon Blanc. The wines of the Loire show Chenin Blanc at its best with wines of varying levels of sweetness and all generally with strong acidity. This acidity gives the wines a strong backbone that lets the wines age beautifully, still looking good after 50 years on occasion

Tasting Notes
Clarksburg has long been known as a remarkable place to grow Chenin Blanc. Crisp and refreshing, this wine begins with a surprising touch of fresh anise on the nose. Richer flavours of stone fruits like peaches and apricots balance the mouthfeel, while the soft and supple texture integrates the palate all the way through the honeyed finish.
Food Pairings
Will match well with lightly spiced foods but also as a refreshing aperitif.
